Want to see a hilarious show with fairies, magic, love triangles, and more? Look no further. USC Upstate’s theatre students and alumni have started a theatre company, ‘Lights up Theatre’ and are making Shakespeare more accessible to the community. This Fall, ‘Lights Up Theatre’ presents Shakespeare’s classic comedy, “A Midsummer Nights Dream”. This hilarious and enchanting show is directed by USC Upstate alumni, Lola Mann.
The Show follows the lives of four runaway lovers, a quarreling fairy king and queen, and a group of amateur actors whose lives intertwine one night in the forest. This magical show is perfect for all ages and will be playing for free September 11-13 at 6 pm at Rail Yard Park and September 18 at 6 pm at the Upstate Renaissance Festival at Hollymild Animal Preserve. Bring your own chairs and blankets for a magical moonlit experience!
